The Dosem Resources

Sources

Material in the Dosem Resources draws upon both factual and conjectural information listed in the GvE Wikipedia as well as other role playing resources on the Internet. Where possible, they are mentioned below:

Good Vs. Evil Wikipedia

Dosem, Main Entry
General overview of the Dosem race in GvE, including racial bonuses/detractors and general appearance. Recommended "common knowledge" reading for any GvE player who has encountered Dosem in their character's past, in-game or not.

Apothecary
Makes mention of Coriander being "Beloved by Dosem". See Social Structures for one such noted use.

Countries
Covers the primary geographic settlements of Dosem.

Food (NU) Example
Required reading for players, as this covers how much NU is required by Dosem per day.

Gods
Notable for its pronouncement of a Sioux-style pantheon as the Dosem religon. Given this violated earlier statements that the Winds were the only gods of the Dosem, the Winds-styled religion has been relegated to shared status, in that not all Dosem follow that faith.

Language (Skill)
Very notable in that it mentions the Dosem language shares many similarities with the Dwarven tongue.

Loamburrow Information
Shows the location of Loamburrow and discusses notable cities within.

Meldanen Empire
Makes mention that most citizens of the empire do not trust Dosem.

Movement Rules
Covers weight differences between Dosem and human-sized items (see bottom of entry.) Optional rule, check with GM before utilizing it.

Nobility and Royalty
Of particular interest as they mention specific aspects of Dosem nobility/royalty. The Social Structures portion of this site was overhauled to be compliant with this information.

Shomash Plains
Oddly enough, only a few Dosem or Dosem families pass through this region. Odd for a race of walkabouts...

Outside Resources

Warhammer Dwarven Language
As Dosem has purported roots in the Dwarven tongue, this "flavor" of Dwarven was chosen as a source for several direct- or near-direct transplanting into the Dosem lexicon.

The Dark Wing: Legend of Quu
The "alternate" Dosem religion presented on this site borrows heavily on the religion of the zor in the Dark Wing series by Walter Hunt. The existence of the Dosem Mythos was inspired by the "Legend of Quu", which is presented in snippets throughout the series, and is available in its entirety on the author's website.
